Who will host Celebrity Jeopardy!?
According to a release from ABC “a host will be announced at a later date.” However, current Jeopardy! co-host Mayim Bialik is said to be the likely pick. Back in August 2021, Sony selected her to host Jeopardy! prime-time specials and spinoffs. The ABC announcement didn’t mention any host, but Erwich told Variety that the omission doesn’t mean anything. “…we just are not ready yet, but we will be soon…I wouldn’t read anything into it.” On May 6 Jeopardy! co-host, Ken Jennings, shared that he was taking a hiatus from hosting and giving the reins to Bialik for several months. “I’m handing the keys back to the talented actor-producer-writer-director (!) @missmayim for a few months,” he Tweeted. “We are lucky to have her! Thanks for watching, and I’ll be back before the end of the season.”
Will Celebrity Jeopardy! be similar to ’90s version?
We don’t know yet! Sony and ABC haven’t offered details on the format for the new primetime Celebrity Jeopardy. Back in the 1990s Celebrity Jeopardy! was on each year and lasted a week. Then in the following decades the special was not on often in the 2000s and 2010s. The most recent celebrity tournament was in May 2015.
